Why ACANSA you ask?
Long before the state of Arkansas received its name, neighboring tribes referred to the local Quapaw as the "people of the southern place" or "Acansa" in the Siouan tongue. ACANSA Arts Festival has adopted this name in honor of our commitment to celebrating the uniquely rich cultural vitality of our region.
Join us! Together we will make the ACANSA Arts Festival a permanent cultural institution and establish Arkansas as the next great arts and culture destination in the US.
to talk about bringing your artistic talents to the festival.
